Soap for the Geek Bathroom

nukesoap1As the saying goes… when you gotta go, you gotta go… and hopefully, you plan on washing your hands later or your keyboard and mouse are going to go from geeky to gunky really fast. 🙂 The Fowndry has the soap for you – or at least for your guest room.

Their three pack of “Nuclear Soap,” is perfectly safe, glow-in-the-dark soap to impress the snot out of your geeky friends… or to at least still keep your geek street cred up.

The bars have a unisex “Rainwater” scent and are labeled as Plutonium, Uranium, and Fallout Shelter.

Beautiful Minimalist Leather Wallet has Pro/Anti RFID Pockets for Geeks Like Us

Screen Shot 2015-06-18 at 11.23.23 PMBritish designer, Simon Szymaniak came up with a design for a brilliant, minimalistic – yet functional – wallet called the MiniMAX dÉŞzaÉŞn, and he has launched this Kickstarter project to fund its production for the consumer market. The project ends in less than two weeks and it has already reached more than it’s funding goal, with over 500 backers so far.

Szymaniak breaks all the rules for a successful Kickstarter campaign. The photos are not great quality, the video has not been professionally produced, their graphics look like 1990s PowerPoint clipart, and they don’t have a website… but people recognize good quality when they see it and the price is more than reasonable for what you get. Szymaniak may not be a graphic designer, but he can craft a wallet with a very cool concept in design and with an RFID shield to protect geeks on the go.

You really need to see their intro video to properly ‘get’ how brilliant the design of this wallet is.

Made of fine grain Italian leather, these supple wallets let you carry your coins, your paper money and your plastic with ease – and nothing falls out. The wallet is unusually small for such versatility and has a slot for your RFID access cards that you use for transit or for entering your building at work – and an anti-RFID section where you can stick your credit and debit cards to protect them from remote RFID scanners used by those scumbags that like to steal people’s identity.

I jumped on the opportunity to back this project. The leather is supple and the wallet is handcrafted with care. You have the opportunity to select the color combination of elastic band that holds your wallet closed when not in use.

You can follow MiniMax on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram.
