Geeky Acoustic Amplifier for iPhone 6 Requires No Power

elago1This new Kickstarter project by Elago delivers an elegant charging stand (you supply the cable and power) that uses an acoustic chamber to amplify your music or podcasts. It is beautifully designed and looks like something Apple would use in their retail stores to display their products. I know – I used to work at the Apple Store for nearly 5 years – they’re pretty anal about how they display stuff and the Elago acoustic amplifier would definitely make the aesthetic cut. Their Kickstarter campaign has less than a week to go, so spread the word so this awesome little acoustic speaker can make its funding goal. Elago is on Facebook and on Twitter.

Geek-made Earbud Detangler on Kickstarter

Screen Shot 2015-05-31 at 4.35.36 PMDanish designer and fellow geek, Mads Miltersen, decided that the problem of tangled earbud cords was not being solved in a manner to which he was satisfied, so he designed a new way of keeping the cord managed that accommodates the remote switch on Apple’s official earbuds. It’s a very well-thought-out design that keeps the detangler with you at all times and it’s very light weight. All the other cord detangler gizmos I’ve tried have a problem with twisting the cord, extra bits hanging on the ends, and a random issue with the microphone. Miltersen has thought out these issues with a well measured out design that seems to address all the issues we end up having with these infernal knots we try to make phone calls with. The Tango Kickstarter project ends in 3 weeks. Jump on board before your opportunity to get this geek-powered for $6 goes away.
