Most geeks love gadgets, and many of us gadget geeks dig guns on all kinds of levels. Whether it’s the mechanism itself, the power it wields or just the beauty in functional design. Geek designers and gun enthusiasts Jack Easterly and Baird Snyder made a profound discovery – a 12 ga. shotgun shell is the perfect size to fit into your 12 volt charger port in your vehicle. They realized this wasn’t a mere coincidence and began to experiment with converting empty shotgun shells into the ultimate USB gadget charger for gun geeks everywhere.
The duo has launched a Kickstarter campaign for their Twelve Gauge Charger to refine the the unit by improving the USB connector and start mass producing them. There are only 5 days to go on the campaign and they have already exceeded their funding goal and have added a stretch goal – if they get to $15K in funding, they plan on upping the power on the unit from 1 amp to 2.1 amps to increase the charging speed of your precious gadgets.
I personally backed this campaign to the tune of four of these babies to be used as Christmas gifts for family members that will be in orbit when they see them.
